Warranty Direct.

I've decided to buy a Z4 privately following some good advice in response to my 'Lurker' topic.

Does anyone have experience of Warranty Direct or could recommend another company?

Thanks.

I have Warranty Direct. They seem to be pretty good.

But one caveat, if it is not specifically delineated in the contract as to if that part is covered, then it is not covered.
I thought my Soft Top was covered but it was not. I should have gotten the upgraded coverage.... live and learn...

Thanks.

I've looked at some reviews online. Most of the people moaning appear to have been under the impression that certain things were covered on the less comprehensive packages.

As with most things you, hopefully, get what you pay for. I remember reading on here recently that someone had their roof motor replaced by them. I'll get one of their higher level packages and the essentials should be covered.

Dan44 my only comment would be shipkiller is in the states, and no doubt they will get better warranty cover than we do, so wouldnt compare the two.

I took out a policy to cover my 2003 3.0 SE, first claim was last year as the hood wouldn't work, no problems with them at all. The work would have cost close to £1K if I had to pay for it myself so I was very pleased!

I'd paid for the extra "dealer" coverage so the cost of all the work was claimed back from them.

Don't forget that these warranties are simply insurance policies. Buy the most comprehensive one you can find and look at the small print especially ref servicing. they should only ask you to service it within the manufacturers recommendations.

Took my Z4 into Elms this morning, need a new offside rear light cluster and two new rear spring, Warranty Direct have OK'd the work and it goes back in on Friday once the parts arrive.

I will have to pay for the work but it only usually takes 2/3 weeks for the cheque to arrive.

HEADRAT - Glad to hear the warranty appears to be doing 'what it says on the tin'.

I'm picking my car up in a couple of hours. I've managed to find a private sale but it still has 4 months AUC warranty cover with it. After that expires I will get a Warranty Direct one in place for peace of mind.

Fingers crossed for being a nice evening for a blast.
