As I've written about before, I have BMW Insured Warranty on my 35iS, with which I'm very pleased, both warranty and car. This can't be said, however, of my local AD, where the warranty work is done.
So, for example, at the last service, done in January by my local indy, he said, 'The car's fine, apart from the slight leak from the DCT sump plate.' Hearing this, my heart sank, because the AD has replaced the plate & gasket once and the gasket alone twice, the last time in January 2021.
Now, I don't want to get into discussions about how good/bad indies/ADs are, how much better a manual box is than a DCT, how fragile a 35iS is and so on. I have just one question, please ...
Is the AD liable for the upcoming repair under the AD's 2-year warranty on the previous repair or must I claim off the BMW Insured Warranty?
