Hi all,

Pleased to say I will be picking up my z4mr Monday week. Jolly excited!

The car comes with 6 months warranty from Norwich Sports and Classics, provided by WMS/VGS (5*). The reviews on piston heads etc look to be terrible so wondered what forum goers' experiences were? Any suggestions gratefully received.

Never any experience with that one. I had the AUC warranty for a year, but then didn't bother renewing it. Currently have no warranty and don't intend to have one again.

I think the BMW Mondial Warranty is generally considered the best.

I had WMS warranty with my 1 Series Coupe

Easy enough to deal with when my Hydro unit went but from what I can remember they only pay £50 per hour on labour so it ended up costing me just over £100 for the repair.

Only had the car for 8 months so I didn't need to use them again.

Thanks Rob. I've looked into BMW/Mondial ones as I was covered by them (Audi) for my current/soon to be previous car.

Thanks for this as well. A lot of the negativity does appear to be based on their unwillingness to pay dealer hourly charges for labour, which (having read the small print as one should) it clearly states they will suggest garages to go to...

I've got a AUC one that I intend to renew...I certainly enjoy a car more with a warranty, with cars in the past without, I'm always worried I'll break them with a huge bill to follow. All psychological though, never had a big problem in 15 years.

Thanks for this. By auc I presume that's a bmw approved? Would you mind if I pm'd you about it?
