Warning Lights

HI everyone i need some help please. I have a Zed 4 in black 2.2I Se just clicked over to 71000 miles and I have owned and loved her for just over two years.

I have a random problem with stability warning lights coming on for no reason, and while these are on the stability button will not work, I think after some research that it is down to a brake sensor which I believe is an easy fix. Does anyone have any ideas where this sensor is located on the car and does anyone know where you can get these at a reasonable price.

I am new to this forum and after looking at some of the posts it seems that all BMW drivers are more than wiling to help each other with the small problems that occur with these brilliant cars. I say small the electric roof stopped working on mine and Sytner relieved me of just over £1,000 but now she is smiling again and remember( the smiles per gallon priceless )

Pics to be added later.

Thanks Phill.

Hi Phill

Welcome along to the forum. I'm glad you've been enjoying your Zed!

I'm perhaps being a little dim, what's the stability light/button? Do you mean the traction control? (Exclamation mark in a triangle with a circular arrow drawn round it?

Hi no lights on today but when they come on the DSC button will not work. Any ideas???

Thanks for your response and i forgot to say nice looking car.

This would interest me too. I've just bought a 3.0 Z4 conv. 03. Just hit 70,000 and same light has come on. Only had the car 2days (bastard) but never the less it needs to be fixed. Any clues of what to do will be extremely helpful.
Thanks George

Hi, Mine was a brake pressure sensor, located on the master cylinder just in front of the servo. There are two sensors, if you disconnect one at a time you may be able to identify the culprit. The switches are about £100.00 each. Had mine diagnosed, supplied and fitted and brakes bled for £180 at Batemans BMW Grange over sands. Good luck. Dell.
