Warning Lights and Power Loss

I was driving on the M5 today near Birmingham doing 40 mph on cruise through roadworks when the warning BONG went off. There was a power loss of about 20-25% and two warning lights illuminated.

The Brake warning light came on steady amber and so did the Dynamic Stability Control DSC indicator lamp. The car was sluggish to drive and I left the motorway (as planned) just up the road. Pulled over, switched off, waited a few seconds and restarted. All was fine, no power loss, no warning lights.

If it was more lights I would have said a "speed sensor" as it linked up with the tracton control/braking.... but not enought lights so am a bit stuck ... with the power loss element :?
