warning light

hello all only my second post and love the site but a warning light came up today for a light fault it comes up every second time you start the car traced it to the side light drivers side just gave it a tap and it came on however i also have a solid right hand side indicator on i have to start the car and switch off again to get it off any thoughts or is it going to bmw thaks in advance
