warning light

just popped down the shop and the warning light has come on, its permenant orange, called in at the local BMW dealer who tell me its ok to drive.
due to work soonest i can get it in for diagnostic is two weeks, is there any way to get the fault code or find out why its on
or a way to reset the lignt, if i do reset will it wipe the fault log?
any comments sugestions?

Is there anything it doesn't detect? I know some diagnostic tools have trouble with Z4's.

Does it come with that software or did you get that seprately?

Found the source of my error so I don't know if it misses anything. It comes with software but I already had PCM so didn't use the software it came with

David's my little brother, he stole my laptop and decided to rename a few things! :lol:
 
first trip to BMW as a paying customer, should i take my belt off and lube up?
any recomended independants in Milton keynes, Northampton area?
