Warning Light

I have a 2010 2.3 auto and have an orange warning light of a ramp coming up in the display and the manual suggests contacting the dealer. I occasionally have a display of a battery if I turn the engine off and not take out the key if I am waiting in the car.
Any suggestions
Thanks

You can reset that, using this guide.

Many speculations on what it might be.

Mine came up when the battery was low once, but a good run fixed it.

Before clearing the light, it may be a good idea to see if any engine codes come up on an obd reader.

A battery on the way out can throw up odd warning lights
Worth checking its output with no load (engine off)

IIRC it should be above 12.6V

If it’s the original battery it’s well past it’s sell by date and I assume in the current climate not running..BMW advise a full recharge every 4 weeks if car not used and battery connected..

After 5 weeks my battery was down to less than 60% after sitting idle..needed over 12 hours to re charge it back up to max using Lidl charger..

Thanks everyone for your input.
I have been running it once a week without fan radio etc to keep the battery charged.
A friend checked the battery with a voltmeter and it showed 11.5 volts with the engine off certainly sounds like the battery.
I will try and find if any of my friends have an obd reader and hopefully it will last until we get back to normal and I will take it out for a long run.
All the best
