what I meant was, where is your proof of this being the cause. The arrows suggest it saying be careful the car might move forward or backwards. Not that a system is failing! I'd expect something with a bonnet on the picture if that was the cause..(i do have it by the way!)

Its just speculation at this point as to the cause. Can you take a pic of the error?

A short in a sensor can cause all sorts of bongs and lights, doesn't mean there is an actual issue.
 
That’s odd, maybe it’s warning you could get run over from any direction if you exit the vehicle with the engine running? :lol:

Interesting, didn’t know it was a thing. I never get out without the parking break on though, because of a life lesson when I was 19!!
 
I've recreated the signal. A bit of an anti climax. It occurs when either of the doors are not closed properly when Park is not selected on the auto box.
 
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I can think of a few to describe that one. :wink:

Someone i know recently got out of her car, not a Z, with engine running, after forgetting something, stepped out and it rolled back. Knocked her over and her arm fell under a wheel and broke her arm bone.
