Warm, sunny winter day + clean car = pics

We had an unseasonable warm day today... 61° and sunny as can be. So the perfect day for a quick wash and some equally quick pics. I can hardly wait for summer and some good warm evenings to go location hopping with proper equipment. A right good day. Cheers! :)

The requisite "Z4 Sits in Industrial Alley" shot. Lens flare courtesy of Windex and solar power.

And another...

And now the ever popular, "Z4 Study with Bricks and Door"

And lastly, a pair of Z4 Sunset Parking Tarmac shots.

I took the plate off of this one.

Great pictures, and the car looks great too

Very nice! Those are the wheels we get on 3.0Si coupes here in the US. I love my sapphire black coupe, but jet black can't be beaten when freshly cleaned.

Dont think those wheels come as standard on any of the models over here... can order them though :D

not many have though as I haven't seen any others apart from mine

Yes, I must admit I love these wheels... they almost make the Zed look like a full sized Hot Wheels car (in a good way)! BUT at some point during the shoot, my passenger side front tire picked up a screw... damn warehouse alleys! :x Thank goodness for the tire replacement warrantee!

I do really like those wheels on the Z4, don't think I've seen one in the flesh like that yet.

Where are you in the US (It's a big place!) Nothing in your Avatar.

Ah, fixed that. Richmond, Virginia (or "Virginny" as some might quip). It's about smack in the middle and about a 90-minute drive to places like DC and Norfolk. I used to move around a fair bit (Cincinnati, Boston, San Diego, Tampa), but have been settled here for almost eight years.

Great photos!

Really like the contrast in the 2nd one, if it was just a tad darker on the exposure it would be superbly setup (I like photos that are tough to setup with such a wide dynamic range perfectly centred :) )

It also looks very clean for a quick wash :D

Richmond, huh? Small world, I'm in Chapel Hill, NC. We need to have a mid-Atlantic get together sometime.

Thanks, Dave, for the compliment. I'd like to retake that shot at about 6 in the evening with the various alley lights on while playing with exposure times. I need to do more scouting, too. Richmond is filled with incredible, rough-hewn nooks and crannies.

And Smokin... You bet. I used to participate in TT-East when I drove the Audi, and would welcome the chance to meet up with other Z4 enthusiasts. In fact, I've got some family in Wilmington, NC, and was just down there last Thanksgiving.

Cheers. :)
