Warm start problems

Hi folks, seeking views on this annoyance. 2014 35is DCT only done 30k. Starts instantly from cold, although I suspect a slight misfire/hesitation at time but might be in my mind, does smell of fuel. Driving is fine and restarts straightway after most stops. Problem is when nice and warm and I switch off and leave it for a while, 30mins to an hour. It take ages cranking it over to fire and then pops, splutters and stinks of fuel before running properly. I have put a reader over it and no codes are coming up.

Its got a BMW warranty on it but have a £100 deductible and from what I gather they sting you for diagnosis. In the past been fobbed off with no fault found as no codes showing on my other BM. Really need it to breakdown for them to sort it. Any ideas, my thoughts were on injectors leaking but I thought by 2014 it had those sorted ?

I’m not an expert on N54 engines but sounds like leaking injectors flooding the cylinders..if it is, it’s going to be more than £100..

Agree with above , injector replacement is looming
on a 2014 30k it sounds very much like the beginning of a spend cycle likely to cost around £2500 ( injectors + hpfp) so keep the warranty up
HPFP notorious for fails but generally that would show in longer cranks from cold , misfire , stuttering performance .
Is the car still on original plugs or have they been changed ? You may want to start with those if they are 6 yrs old but i don't think it will cure the problem :(

Thanks all, was my thinking as well sometimes just need second views, plugs were changed at service 2k miles ago so can pretty much rule them out
