Hi and welcome to the forum. 
Prior to the facelift there were 2.2i, 2.5i and 3.0i models.
With the facelift they replaced them with 2.5i, 2.5Si and 3.0Si models, so the facelift 2.5i was really a lower powered replacement for the 2.2i. All the facelift 3 litre ones are Si models. Power outputs were quoted as 177 PS, 218 PS and 265 PS respectively, so you might want to avoid the 2.5i!
The SE was a trim level, but most people prefer the Sport trim because it included the highly desirable M-Sport seats.

Thanks for the reply Mr Tidy very helpful. Unfortunately most of the cars that tick the box on looks and condition all seem to be the 2.5i at the moment. Thanks to your comments have saved me a few trips out as the higher output engine is preferred. A few nice 3ltrs about but all seem to be automatic. Hopefully something will come up.

Hi mate you might be interested in my car which I'm gonna be selling soon, its a silver 2006 e86 2.5 si m sport with black leather heated seats it has 103000 miles, and I've just had a service on 3rd of December with one new tire, all new spark plugs, air filter, oil filter and oil of course. And yesterday just payed £122 for a new battery thanks to this weather. I was hoping to get about £4500 for it, but I'm open to offers.JLow said:
