But the passenger side one has been removed.

Probably off momentarily, don't think the bloke I'm paying 3k to, who has hit the front page of volksworld and fast ford is really bothered about taking the correct photo so people don't pick at it. It was just a progress report. Have reservation and a wait for finished product.

It looks great

Though I thought a full respray involved taking all the panels & bits like the door handles off and doing them individually to ensure there are no edges on the paint - or did that happen and I missed it ? Sorry if I did

The rear badge is really easy to get off, it's just two pegs into rubber grommets. The lens of the side repeaters twists and pulls off so you can replace the bulb... The circular fitting for the lens just pulls out. Just for future reference if you change badges or a bulb fails of course :D

No problem, 3K :o

Should be a bloody good job for that.

It is steep but that's assembly and to fabricate and paint a few brackets I needed making. Putting a car rebuild on a big forum, it has to be done properly cos there's no way I'm looking a fool. Before the body shop the car has had a semi roll cage fabricated and welded in, aswel as the cock pit floor strengthened (I specified no dash alterations or bulkhead, looks s**t chopped up). Last car I had I put on the roof at 140mph so it's for my own safety.

Panels have to be painted off the car then blown in on the car so the shade is all the same. I haven't seen the car yet and don't know his processes. Been told to come see the car once done. The car has to be flawless!!!!

Need a drivers rear tail light if anyone can source one. Not paying the £250 from dealers I've just been quoted. Don't mind the £50 for third light. It's now been upgraded so don't buy an old one. They have made it spring loaded so slamming the boot won't break it.

Almost there! Look forward to pics after the carbon work has been done

Sycross carbon are waiting for the car and will have for a month. Told the bloke to crack on and take moulds of whatever he wants. Unfortunately she's got a couple of faults including a Mis on cylinders 4-5-6 and secondary air pump, so she's got to go to a Specialist first. Hoping something minor but prepared for the worst.

any idea on what moulds there takings and any idea on what parts will be on offer after? just gonna be panels or other bits aswell like splitter/tail spoilers etc? :fuelfire: :driving:

If people off here genuinely interested in parts throw me some enquiries, I'll speak to Adam at sycross. From speaking to him over the phone, he sounds interested in taking moulds of all sorts. I told him only 921 RHD e85s were produced and after him going away and doing research, he's brought.

What parts you interested in JINGLE? He will make anything and the company make parts for BMW racing teams

not really after anything as such, but just curious as to what parts will end up being available and if anything looks the part and is priced fairly then i could be tempted :)

wouldnt be anything to big like panels etc, but possibly small parts like wing mirrors cases, door pulls, fang protectors/splitter maybe etc

either way i cant wait to see yours finished as it will look awesome!

Custom strut brace and aluminium undertray being fabricated :) no expense spared now on creating my elegant racer. Roll cage looks something else!!!!

Custom fabricated by: G Long automotive, Birmingham. Welded sockets through the floor and cage welded into them. The centre section is welded to the window screen frame. The roof operates as it should. Cost me £1200 but will have to spend some doh carbon skinning the interior plastic to get a flawless finish. I'll stick some pics on after sycross carbon visit (probably go wild and carbon all interior plastics lol)

Nice i have been thinking about building a cage. I was a little flummoxed. But that looks great and i cant wait to see pictures

that welded in cage will add some serious strength to that frame, danny you COULD build this thing into a monster if you so wish! think your the first person I've seen with the z4mR and a cage in the UK..
