I have H&R ARBS front and rear. If you go down that line, you'll need adjustable drop links too or the front ARB will foul the brake callipers on full lock.

Thanx mate. Appreciate the info.

good work although every crashed m makes ours rarer :poke: you have reserected one from beyond the grave, but credit where credit due, you had the balls to take that on and looks like it is coming together well. great work and good luck, hope all is well with the engine  :D

Engine is now a complete unit.... Please not the sump on a Z4M is not the same as an E46 M3!!!!! All by hump located in the bottom for the sensor. Sensor is longer. Been assured it's fine and will run :) Waiting on 2 M front wheel hubs and the car can then start being assembled

Engine rebuilt and fitted, suspension being constructed tomorrow (obviously M specification). Original bonnet being re fabricated by aluminium specialist this week. Just waiting on oil cooler pipes to start her up. Also help needed please!!!! I need someone with a fairly standard M to come down and put next to mine. This is so I can see where everything under the bonnet goes and if I have any missing bits and clips I can get them ordered up. Great care will be taken with anyone's vehicle and will be done my myself and the owner ONLY!! No dismantling or touching will be involved.

Good to see you saving the M, this might be slightly off topic but as car was unrecorded what happens if and when,[ not just your car but other unrecorded cars] are put up for sale, will the owners reveal the cars history as they are surely just like any Cat C or D car except the value? So it begs the question why are cat c or d cars devalued automatically and not sold on condition as if cars history is known it can be inspected and if found to be ok surely value of car would be on a par with previously undamaged car? Makes one wonder how many people have bought supposedly low mileage immaculate cars that have been unrecorded write offs?

Unrecorded just means that the car was damaged and sold privatly instead of claiming from the insurance company and losing no claims. I know for a fact that 95% people will not mention anything about the previous damage and sell it for normal market price. I agree that it's dumb that people avoid Cat D/C cars as it basically means that the history of the car is known and you can carry out all the checks needed to make sure that the car is back to 100% OEM standard. I've purchased and repaired damaged cat c z4 and I'm confident that it's now in much better condition then it has every been in last couple years.

People avoid Cat D/C cars just based on the fact that it has been involved in an accident but there is many cars which are not writen off but repaired by "inusurance aproved" body shops. Based on the cars I have seen repaired by these "insurance aproved" companies I would avoid all of them but because it hasn't been writen off by the inusrance provider then I will never know anything about the previous claim and damage.

60% of vehicles on road are unrecorded write offs.....Fact!!! So unless you are ordering from the dealers you could be buying one. Dealers will actually buy the unrecorded cars off you, I sold a range sport back to a range dealers. Ive repaired an 2007 RS4 with nothing from the A post forward that was unrecorded. Unrecorded the vehicle history doesn't have to be disclosed because there is no history of the accident. You can never find out.... Impossible

This is why I choose to buy damaged if I'm going to keep the car. I know every nut and Bolt on the car....... Do you?

60% is way to high for that to be a fact. But I have no issue with Cat D cars as long as there is enough evidence of before, during and after of the damage and repairs undertaken.

Lucy's car in the link below is a good example of a car that was not written off though and in my view would be if it happened now and is probably no worse than the 2 ///M's on here that we have seen being rebuilt. Certainly Sim_Simma's car was no worse.

So far it's cost £9200 and took 10 weeks. Hoping to get on road before Christmas. Mammoth task but hey.... Will be worth while in the end.

I have a pair of e46 m3 front hubs from an 06 if you need, believe they're the same for Z4m?
Good work getting to where you have :driving:

Thanx mate but e46 don't fit. Suspension is very similar to the e36 but I've found not the same. I managed to get hold of
Z4M/Z3M hubs.
