Evening,

It's a bit of a long shot but does anyone have the lower grille or air intakes for the lower bumper?

Unsure what other bits and bobs I may need but these seem the major ones

Thanks

if it was you who got the red 1 off ebay last week, you will need:

left brake duct
left brake duct bracket
right brake duct
right brake duct bracket
lower grill
under-tray

the brake duct brackets are not essential as you can cable tie them but its much better to use the brackets.

i need a z4m under-tray still and i have been looking for a year, but works fine without any under-tray but im not paying BMW £200 for a new under-tray so will just keep looking for a 2nd hand 1 or from breakers etc.

also while your at it, depending on condition of your bumper brackets (bit between the wing and bumper near headlight) you might want to replace them as they get brittle over time and you could easily break them removing old bumper, there are £25 EACH so if you can get away with not breaking them its worth being extra careful when removing

That lot will cost a fortune.

I'd go for this stuff http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/221533152369

Then just chop the undertray to suit.

Do you mean chop the undertray from my current bumper?

What would you recommend to attach the grille with?

Does the tray just stop pebbles rising into the engine?

Seems I can maybe do this pretty cheaply apart from potentially the brackets

Cheers

The only place to get these parts are the dealers. Trust me.
Lower grill, think I paid about £100
Air ducts are £52 each inc vat.
Undertray is £180, the M undertray is bigger than the normal one

where did you get the price for the undertray danny, im sure i asked my local dealer and it was over £200 (im sure i asked for discount aswell)

is it that important as ive been running without 1 for over a year now..... ?

There's a few German sites doing them for about half the prices quoted above there. I'll probably go down that route by the look of things

I'd be interested too. My undertray is pretty worn on one side and I was going to go down the route of a GRE repair instead of shelling out 200 quid for a new one. ~£100 would be a lot more digestible.

Obviously, I haven't used the site yet, but it says that

Undertray is 95€. http://www.carparts-pros.com/page_1_3.php#oeformo

Grill is 44
Air ducts are 23 each

That was quoted by BMW Birmingham mate about 6 months ago. I know that part prices are slowly creeping up

i got quoted £200 so with the 10% discount would make £180 about right, maybe when i got the price they didnt give me a 10% discount that time like they normally do.

that site above that Russ mentioned has the under tray for about £143 delivered, altho im unsure how safe the website is :/
