WANTED: Z4M Aftermarket Exhaust

Popey

Senior member
Probably a long shot but Im looking for something along the lines of RPI or Rouge Diablo, but will remain open minded

(Using the funds they were put aside for the CSLs  )

 Reckon you might Popey! Anybody with one wants it. Have you looked at H&S too. X-Pipe and full cat back for £950 fitted. Saving up for one myself.

Part of me is tempted to use powerflow to knock me one up.

I used the branch over in Morecambe for some systems in the past and he was spot on. He also managed to give me a good indication of how it would sound when fabricated.

I recon he could do the x pipe quite cheap too.

But then again I could just save up and get the RPi system.

Mmm-fives sounds sweet, so much I want, so little cash lol.

I have Remus back boxes and they preserve the sound of the stock system with added base tones and additional pops and bangs on the overrun. They don't drone and are not offensively loud so they are fine for long journeys and meet track day noise regulations. I believe they are the boxes used for the AC Schnitzer set up just with different tips.

£740 incl for 2 x backboxes at MStyle.

I'd be interested in hearing a comparison between these and the H&S catback system if anybody has vids?

I'll try to upload some videos from my laptop, but I can't make an mmm-five style video at the moment for obvious reasons :P

So these are not great quality being recorded on a DSLR camera on a rainy airfield trackday - they sound ok with external speakers, but a bit pants straight off a laptop. The first one is contaminated somewhat by the sound of the compressor for the inflatable tent. The Lotus 211 following me is pretty awesome!

These videos were recorded on an iPhone sitting on the passenger seat so aren't great either:

That sounds very similar to OEM or is it just me?
My videos are pretty poor quality! They do preserve all of the rasp of the stock system but there's additional bass tones and they're significantly louder. Over 4000rpm they sound very different from OEM. I'll make some better videos when I'm back next year. In the meantime, when I have a moment I'll load up some in-car trackday footage to YouTube
