Hi all :driving:! I'm after an early Z4 (e85) with the 3.0 litre block. I have a budget of around £3.5k, hence I'm quite open to the level of spec/trim but would be wanting something without moon miles. Condition, number of previous owners and use are top priorities.

If you have a real gem that seems to tick all the boxes but is a smaller 2.5 litre, I may also consider this :).

I travel around the country a fair bit so location isn't too critical as long as you're south of Leeds and east of Cornwall as I don't quite venture that far. In and around South Wales (i.e. not too far off the M4) is also realistic.

Mine may be of interest, I was considering selling up.

It's a higher mileage 2003 3.0, that's been brilliantly maintained and is in great condition overall. It's on 150k now..

However with the price you're looking to pay I'd have to sell the seats separately and return to stock SE seats. (I've fitted amarone sports seats).

Thanks for the reply but I'd have to draw the line on that much mileage :(.

Hey you said miley! :poke:

so something that has a fair few miles under its belt, but not too many miles

might want to update your first post!

FWIW , mines also on 150k and drives better than the 90k 08 plate z4 coupe it replaced :)

I think you're reading too much into the numbers.

150k well maintained car is something I'd buy over a 60k badly maintained one.

high miles doesn't equal to ticking bomb.. 150k is not that much, there are z4's running with over 200k.

add the fact that your budget is far from healthy and you will realise that you can't have good condition, weekend car with medium amount of miles for bottom end budget. Even if it's low spec.

Really? Having looked over previous sale posts, I got the impression that I'm being quite realistic :(?

What would you say is achievable for a 2.5 or 3.0 roadster?

I'd say your budget is too low. 3.5k for good condition, not too high mileage etc.

You're probably looking at more like 4.5 to achieve that, especially for the 3.0

pretty much! :)

you will still be looking at a 100k + examples.

IMO a 150k well looked car for round 3.5-4 is bang on.

I'm hoping to make 4250 out of mine as is, if someone's looking for one with all the right mods already that is...

If not I'll PX the seats and wheels on here and then sell it cheaper.. either way it should be easy enough when the time comes.
