I'm finally in a position to start seriously looking for a Coupe 3.0 si sport, manual in Montego blue.
I appreciate these are rare on the ground but good things come to those that wait as they say.
If it has a piano black dash, less than 80k , full service history, pale cream leather interior then I'd be very interested.

This link to a database a forum member compiled might be helpful:- http://perso.numericable.fr/tonyz4c/index30si.html

Based on that the UK only got 263 Montego Blue Coupes, only 41 had Champagne Nappa Leather and only 30 of those had Piano Black trim. And those numbers might include some SE models so finding a Sport with full history and less than 80K miles may be quite a challenge, involving compromise, patience and some travel!

But I hope you manage to find one.

This MC is great value. (No association!)

I looked at this one from AT last week and was considering it.

The guy was really friendly and helpfully send me pictures, cold start videos etc. I just couldn’t get up there in person to see it near Halifax and then found the roadster I just bought instead.

Might be worth a look. PM me if you want more details on the conversation I had and thoughts on the car.

Hi,
Thanks for your information, I had seen this one on AT but was put off by the number of owners and 100k mileage. But thank you for taking the trouble to let me know.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a forum member will send me a PM when they decide to let go of their Montego Blue before openly advertising as I suspect the dealers will beat me to it....... :tumbleweed:

I was too with the owners but it has decent service history and seemed to be well looked after. Have photos, video and I also did a full Car Vertical check which didn't flag anything other than a reg change.

That's interesting would you be able to send me the information and photos/ video you have if you have the time please

The best combination by far, mine is this exact spec. Fascinating to see the how many there are in this combination. Be rude not to share a pic :P

If its been well kept the 100k is pretty trivial after 15 yrs , number of owners ? its a number , you have to view a car & make a decision based on what you see .
With the car in question it would be the interior combo that would have me looking elsewhere  & the repair to drivers bolster id love to see

My Montego Blue Coupe had Pearl Grey Oregon leather which I really liked although Champagne would have been better, not least because it's Nappa leather which is better quality leather so was a cost option.

It had 5 previous keepers, but my current MC has had 7! Cars like this seem to change hands quite often though so I wouldn't worry too much about numbers. I think they are often a box to tick, or buyers realise they aren't practical when they become parents or get a dog.

I wouldn't be put off by 100K+ miles for the right one either as N52 engines just seem to keep on running well. My 325i had done 139K when I sold it and my current 330i has done 120K but the way they performed you'd never know it!
