Wanted - Z4 coupe - advice as well please

After going to the Breakfast club on Sunday i must get myself a z4 coupe.
May be a long shot but wanting to get rid of my TT for the Z4 3.0 coupe - i or si. Always found it better to ask on the forum first to see if anyone knows of any going as they would also have the history to the car as well.
Found an 07 plate as an approved used in Huddersfield but it has 52k on the clock - a lot for the year.

I know BMW. Jag etc go on for ever as a rule but not so sure if this applies to the more sporty models. HELP!

p.s. dont suppose anyone want a MK1 silver 225bhp TT? 51 plate with 55k in great condition with some simple mods (wheels, rear valance, forge 007p dump valve)?
 
Nice car and nice spec too, but too many miles in my opinion.

What about this one, PM Mark I think it will still be for sale, this is a properly specced car too, as long as you can live with the colour, which is awesome in the flesh :thumbsup:

Does the mileage make a huge difference or is it personal choice?

Liking the one you sent the link to but as you say not sure i could live with the colour a my car. Looks great but not sure it is me.

I would say it does make a big difference. There are loads of coupes on the BMW site, more than there are buyers for, wait a few weeks until the new one is launched then go and get one. Worth spending a few quid more to get one with lower mileage on for sure.
 
I'd advise you to buy privately as you'll get a much better deal for your money. I bought my 07 coupe privately about a 5 weeks ago and saved £££ over buying from a stealer. Its still got one years worth of warranty and breakdown cover so no hassles if anything goes wrong.

Elipsoids are my fave other wheels for Z's - but they don't suit the coupe at all.

Agree with the things Mike says re: mileage too. Bear in mind its a buyers market - shop around, you'll find one that is perfect eventually.
 
Aww did you like my Coupe that much that now you want one? :P

One of my friends has a phoenix yellow Z and i have to say that it looks so much better in real life.
 
agree with lucy looks so much better in real life- we can go take a look at that one when i get back form belfast. Need to be careful with the condition of the 108s (wheels)
 
Gotta agree with Lucy here, "Magic Mustard" looks absolutely gorgeous imo! Especially in the flesh with the sun gleaming! :D

Oh and just to note, the coupe only has the 'Si' generation of engines - no 3.0i like in the older roadsters (mine for example!) They are most notably different having a lighter Magnesium Alloy block and are Valvetronic (throttlebody-less) netting around 30bhp extra. When you inevitably test drive one, it will probably feel only as quick as a standard 225 TT but dont let the torque delivery fool you of the turbo ;)

I like the roadster in phoenix, but would go a different colour for the coupe. Ones in black, blue or any of the greys would be my choice. And look for one which has a good spec - sat nav, bluetooth, comfort pack etc...

must admit - liking the mustard yellow look. Maybe it is one of those cars that works in yellow - not too many do. Will have to get to see one in the flesh soon. Got the itch now - not sure how to explain this one away to the Mrs! Probably just turning up in one and then nowt can be done (apart from having parts of me ripped off i suppose).

And Lucy - i have always been a fan of the coupe over the convertible and seeing the two there on Sunday tipped me over the edge. Love them. As you are partly responsible for me getting one are you going to help out with the cost of buying one? :lol: :lol:
 
Have to say (and no offence to anyone here as its personal opinions) but I think you have to be brave to go with Phoenix OR be comfortable you'll be keeping it for a while.

I remember a PY coupe being in Sytners for yonks.

I don`t think milage is that important. How it`s been driven is more important and type of use. A 52k mile car might of done a lot of motorway miles at 70mph and could be in a better condition than a 15k mile car that has been driven around town with many cold starts each day with the car often stuck in stop-go traffic. If the price was right I`d buy a 52k mile car, but of coruse if I had more money to spend I`d go for less miles, one owner and preferably some knowledge of how the car has beendriven.

Mine`s up to 30k miles now and it drives fantastically. When i first got it with 2000 miles on it I thought the engine was a little quiet when revved more but now it has a great sound throughout the entire rev range. it still has the low RPM boom but also a nice engine sound as it is revved much higher also
