Hello, I keep my z4(e89) on the street so looking for a car/dust cover. Something similar to the below would be great . Thanks.

As per Jonnys reply that's not waterproof but can be put on after the car has been washed. It will keep the dust off but not the rain and in the winter months it will more than likely freeze. I've got the full weather cover from classic editions for my Dads E46 and it's great but I was offered that one at the time and that cover is the lining of the fully waterproof one. Ideally that one is best suited to indoor use.

I've been toying with selling my OEM BMW outdoor cover as I've not used it but still not sure. Reason I've not used it is because I'm fearful that having a cover on in a private car park will give someone license to open their door right on to the car probably with more force and dent the car.

Apart from being on the street why do you want a cover?

Oh and cars under covers in public places tend to attract attention.

I have the proper e89 outdoor cover (OEM/BMW) that I'm considering selling. What are you looking to pay?
Hello, sorry for the late reply. I was looking to pay around 120 and can pick up around London . How much is the oem cover? I presume it will be a lot more expensive than the classicadditions.

Has anyone had experience of covering a car on a London street leading to a break in? There's a lot more desirable suv's and 911's around that I thought thieves would go for first..

After my experience with car covers I would avoid using one. Unless you get a good one then you are leaving yourself open to moisture being trapped under the cover and this caused lacquer damage to my bonnet and roof.

Not sure if the BMW paint and cover combination would be better, but I'll never use a cover again. There is also the issue of windy nights general rubbing of the cover on the car.

H.
