Hello hello,

I'm a newbie to the world of z4's. I've been doing some looking around, initially i thought boxster, but then thought NAAAAAAH! there are too many of them around.
Z4 is more of a fun car.

so i have started my hunt for a z4.

Things i'm looking for:
standard se spec +
heated seats
memory seats
bluetooth
xenon headlights
rear parking sensor (nice to have)
auto dim mirrors
auto headlights
auto wipers
wind deflector (nice to have)
2004/2005
around 60k miles
full service history, pref BMW.

I have a budget of around £6.5-£7.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Rajiv

6.5 -7k it's gonna be low spec, high miles or Cat C, a well looked after car with that spec and miles is going to set you back a min of 8k with a minter closer to 9.5k or more. if you find one at that price your doing very well at this time of year

Welcome :)

Here's a useful site to look at for colours, specs etc.

Links in my signature for pre purchase checks etc. Good luck in the search

I might be picking up a 2003 Z4 3.0 55k miles with FBMWSH tomorrow.

too excited!

WOHOOOOO!!!

one thing though, i'm not too familiar with how BMW servicing works.

Should it have had an inspection 1 & 2 by now?

Yes, it should have had OIL + 1 + OIL + 2. If it's had anything less it's got a shady past.

For reference, mine has had all of the above and is almost due another oil service within the next week or two at ~63k ish. It's going to be sold straight after that.

Hope it works out.

Should also have had a brake fluid change (and oil change) every 2 years regardless of mileage

Check the history carefully as people often just give it the mileage related and forget the time based element.

I have recently bought a Z4 where that time based thing was forgotten. Not serviced since Jan 07 but onl;y done 8k since then. Had it checked out and found some issues-but I wonder how much of a problem is it missing the time based element on low mileage?

Oil deteriorates over time regardless of mileage. Brake fluid attracts moisture and rots the pipes and boils easily. That said done is done and you may never notice a thing.

Buying the car for my wife....heated seats is a must for her.... :-S

so i found another one, but i has 110k miles......anyone got any opinions on a z4 with high mileage?
