Wanted-Z4 3.0

Wanted 3.0 manual Z4 pre facelift.
Must have beige interior but green/maroon/blue exterior fine(Currently have green Z3 with beige interior as personally not a fan of silver/grey cars with black interiors).
Ideally would have heated seats/sat nav & Xenons.
Hopefully there is one out there somewhere looking for a good home.

I am assuming of course that there are some 3.0's with these colours/options out there?
Is there any way of finding out what 3.0 cars were produced?

Yes that is what I am talking about !!
Looks good and I do like the wood trim on the dash which is the same as my current z3 which unless I can find a Similar z4, I shall carry on driving- which would be no real hardship as they are still great cars.

Yes, most on here do like the wood look and some are known to be jealous of the look :) :wink:

So you have a Z3 ??, now we are starting to find out a bit more about you, we will need photos of your current driver and what part of the world you live in.

Yes have a 97 2.8 Z3 which has served me well over the years but now looking for something a bit more modern.
Would post some pictures but don't seem able to find a link to do it.
I live in Cornwall which is great apart from having to travel hundreds of miles to look at any prospective cars!!

Hello and welcome

I'm similar to you in respect of travelling to view cars. The best advice is get as much information and as many detailed pics you can before making that journey. Also the MOT history website is useful to give an insight of how many 'fails' a car has had over the years which could indicate the level of care its received. I sold a car years ago to a chap from London who bought it based on my honest description and photos. He flew up, drove 8 hrs home and emailed me when he arrived to say what an enjoyable journey he'd had with no issues at all.
Good luck with your search. I'm sure you'll find something that ticks most if not all your boxes :thumbsup:

However due to lack of anything similar in the Z4 range might have to consider a grey colour?



If I can find a Z4 with possibly a red interior, it would be OK.
The search continues.
Note the map in the passenger door- we will be off touring France/Spain again shortly and will hopefully sell on our return

they do come up but id say beige is one the rarer interior specs, opening up to include red is a good shout, tbh red would have been my 1st choice of interior.. that said happy enough with black as the performance, beautiful aesthetics, top down fun and sheer driving pleasure makes details such as interior trim seem rather insignificant to me... good luck with your search :thumbsup:

Beginning to think that the only Z4 3.0 I am going to find is grey with black interior as loads of these on the market with various options on them.
One of my gripes with the Z3 were the headlights which were pretty poor and improved a bit with Osram Night breaker bulbs.
As Xenons are not standard on the 03 Z4's, would it pay me to look for one that had them or is there not that much difference to make it worth worrying about as I could presumably upgrade to the Halogen Osrams?
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Hi Gareth, my car has halogen lights with nightbreakers fitted & I still have to drive tapping a white stick in front of me-get xenons if you can :roll:
We had a 2.2sport z3 for a while, nice car but you will love a 3.0z4 :driving:

Thanks Smartbear- That was the sort of down to earth info I needed-Xenons it is then which will rule out some of the ones for sale as being the wrong side of 60 means that eyes are not that good anyway.

Thanks Mr.Tourette, I did see that but would'nt be able to manage the seats.
Having found very few (no) suitable cars for sale with a beige interior have decided to widen the net to silver with a black interior as that is what I have on my 2.5 turbo forester which although has a much lighter & bigger cabin, still looks pretty good.
So if any forum members have a high spec car in this colour & thinking of selling, please pm me.
