Hi folks,

Just registered with the forum as a friend suggested it might be a good way for me to find a well looked after z4.

Im looking preferably for a 3.0

My budget it £5500 max

WANTS.....Not a lot really I'm not after any specific specs as such. Ideally under 70k miles with FSH, A hardtop would be fantastic but i know realistically thats only going to come with a 2.5 at my budget.

Most of all im looking for a well cared for vehicle. i could go down the dealer route and i see a lot in my price range but in general i just dont trust em, Id much rather have a owner club car thats been treated with some love.

Anyone selling please get in touch.

Welcome to the forum.I know what you mean about buying a Z4 from a member rather than a dealer.Have a look in the "buy / sell section

Hi,

Looking to sell my 2003 2.5i SE.

- 54000 miles
- Sapphire Black with black interior
- 18" 108 wheels, will supply original 104s also if wanted free of charge. Rear tyres (Maxxis MAZ1) have 4/5mm tread fronts (Falken 914) have 1-2mm on 108s. 108s could do with a refurb but aren't awful. Just standard lacquer peel.
- Currently has a BROKEN roof motor however this is booked in for replacement in two weeks which I will have done before any sale unless requested otherwise. Costing £850, so no worries about the motor going on you!
- Has clear centre rear lights, can swap back to standard if required.
- ZHP Gearknob, again can replace with normal if required.
- Heated memory seats.
- Rear Park assist.
- Wind deflector.
- I have owned for last 18 months and before that just one female owner from new.
- FSH with service due in 3500 miles/6 months. May service it myself before any sale if wanted?
- It needs a new glovebox/handle. £40 from dealer. This is one of few bad points with the car along with the lacquer on wheels.
- Washed weekly, polished once a month.
- Front discs and pads replaced last month.
- Taxed until July 2014. Test until Feb 2014.

Will get some pictures up tomorrow, I would be looking for £5500 ovno really. Located in Bristol.

if you are interested/want any more info just let me know!

Thanks,

Chris.

Cheers guys, Ive got a note of all the offers so far. Making up a shortlist. Mileage just a bit high on most of them for me though.

Always a compromise between budget ,spec & mileage 8) something usually has to give

No end of them out there to ponder on

Cheers Mr Wilks,

Contacted the first fella and he isn't prepared to drop down to budget, I've tried him again with a final offer.

Thing is now im pretty sure its a 3.0 I am after. Annoying thing is on the run up to selling my old car I saw loads that were just perfect. Now I have the funds they have went thin on the ground. So I know the car im looking for is out there, its just a question of waiting. but thanks for keeping an eye out :-)

Sitting on the money when car hunting is the secret 8) There are always possibles but i find THE right one shows & its a 1 horse race from then on , you just haven't found it yet
I would also hold out for the 3.0 , as quoted by that annoying fella from 5th gear , "the BMW straight 6 is possibly one of the best engines ever produced " it aint that punchy in my X3 but it does sound well

Unfortunately unless you are very lucky, at that price point you may well have to compromise on something. Not necessarily mileage, perhaps a bit of work needing doing here and there.

My thoughts were always that mileage is not the most important factor. I've just purchased a 320D with 130k miles and it runs as sweet as my friend's 40k miler. It's about the work done and the services completed.

I also felt a bit put off by high mileage when I purchased mine. But it's nothing to worry about the car feels like new!

And as others have said you always have to compromise with something unfortunately,

If you wish to message me about my car please get in touch, if not good luck with you search :-)
