Hi guys,
Im new to this forum,
Im looking for a Z4
-2.5ltr
-Manual
-Preferably not silver but that is least important
-Under £4,500
-Good Mot/ Service History
-Under 100k Miles
Preferably around East Anglia although I realise from looking on a lot of car sales sites there aren't a lot of them around here so I would travel if the right car came up.
If anyone has one for sale or sees one could you please make me aware?
Thanks in advance.

Not exactly what you are looking for but there is a nice black 2.2 Zed for sale on the Facebook Zed page - 102k but only £2500

Looks a steal to me and it's not too far from you

Nothing to do with me just offering a connection :D

Dietcokeman on here has a nice 2.5 for sale but think you'd have to up your budget a bit, he looks after his things very well

Any particular reason for not wanting a 3.0i?

I assumed I would get more for my money with a smaller engine? Would you say this is the case?
I was looking at a 2.0ltr but I wanted the 6 cylinder for the sound.
I also thought with a 2.5 insurance wouldn't be so much but after looking further into it there isn't much difference.
I read from a few others that the difference in the two wasn't so much performance wise to warrant the difference in price, I could be wrong though as i'm very new to this.
Im 23 so this is my first car that is anything other than an old 1.2 hatchback.

There's nothing at all wrong with the 2.5 and there are many happy 2.5 owners here. However, there are certain benefits to going with a 3.0i including the presence of a 6th gear which means gear ratios are a bit closer, facilitating increased torque through certain sections of each gears rev range. More of a kick in the arse, if you will. Plus a taller 6th gear will give great fuel exonomy as i've found out 45+mpg @ 65mph!
Theres also not much of a difference in asking prices when given cars of the same mileage/quality with the different engines.
I looked at several 2.5's before realising and deciding that i wanted the 3 for all the above reasons.
The only caveat to your decision making may be the price differential with your insurance perhaps?

Thats a great point actually I hadn't really thought about the 6th gear and thus fuel consumption,
I shall do insurance tests on both engine sizes again and see what the difference is!
Cheers for your help!

Good luck and keep us posted re your eventual purchase.
There's a very informative buyers guide somewhere on here. I think its a permalink post in the how-to section maybe. Has lots of useful info...

Mine may be available soon. It's only done 62500 and, whilst silver, has had a lot of sought after additions added. If you look through my post history you should find it pretty easily
