Wanted: Well specced Z4 Roadster 3.0 or 3.0si

Hi all,

I had the call from my insurance company declaring that my lovely 3.0i roadster has been declared a write off as the cost to repair is much more than the value of the car

As a result, I'm back on the hunt for a replacement car, of similar spec (at the wrong time of year with prices being higher :( )

The essentials for me to have are:

Cruise control (can't be bothered to add it on later)
Heated/electric seats
Multi-function steering wheel + bluetooth
3.0i or 3.0si
Manual
Full service history
Relatively low mileage (60,000m or thereabouts)

Looking to spend somewhere between £6k and £8k, possibly a little more for a 3.0si.

If anyone knows of anything suitable or has something within that description for sale, please let me know.

Thanks,

Chris

Doesn't look very well specced. Can't see the PDC or Cruise on the images.

This is the VIN if you want to check the options

Yeah I know the cruise control is missing, but it's proving to be tough finding a good looking car with it at the moment! I'm even starting to get tempted by E89's but would rather not spend quite that much money. Thanks for the VIN :)

I think you might find it actually quite difficult to find a decent 3.0Si for less?

When I was looking (back in Jan/Feb) I thought it was going to be a relatively easy task. It wasn't! Plenty of 3.0L cars within the budget you quote but once I had decided I wanted an Si there was a sudden jump!

I bought mine in February (from a reputable dealer not privately) with 51K on the clock and 12 months warranty. I insisted on it having an Insp II as part of the deal and bought a further 2 years worth of warranty upfront. Plus I bought four new Goodyear AS2s (even though the Bridgestone RFT were nearly new I just couldn't live with them). The car thus stands me £11.5K.

As one inevitably does after buying a car one tends to keep looking to see "what one should have bought instead"...I do anyway! TBH very little if anything has come up since, for comparable money that I would have bought instead. There's been the odd private sale (usually with higher miles) etc but probably IIRC nothing at a lower price in terms of an Si that I would have taken instead.

Don't discount a car for no CC. It's easy to retrofit.

Excuse my ignorance but what's the Si over the standard 3.0?

The N52 engine was introduced at face lift when the 2.5i, 2.5si and 3.0si were introduced. The M54 including the 3.0 was dropped.

I have a 2005 3.0 SE Manual, circa 66000 miles, 3 former keepers, with Nav, DSP, Bluetooth, 6 CD, electric msport seats (not heated unfortunately) in silver with black leather if you are interested. Only done about 400 miles in last 2 years hence why I may part with it. New battery and bonnet release cable last year.

Located in Lancashire. PM me if of interest.

Thanks! Do you have any pictures? It's quite far for me to travel with a torn achilles so being in Lancashire may be a bit of a stretch but there's always a way if it's the right car.

I have all but steering wheel control?

Looks like a nice car but is at the top end of my budget. Will PM you but am keen to buy a car without modifications ideally.

Keep them coming :)

I will be selling my 2.5si when I get around to taking some photos. - Not a 3 litre, although basically the same power as the 3.0i and still 6-cylinders! Would be after nearer £9k though, as it's low mileage and immaculate. Also has the cruise control you want and is more or less a standard car. Brief spec: sapphire black, 34k miles, heated seats, individual leather (two-tone black/ivory, and higher quality leather), sat nav, fairly new non-run flats, full service history, kept garaged and rarely used since I changed my job a year ago - hence reason for sale. I've had it for the last 3 years and have done 12k miles in it. PM me if you're interested.

I have a silver-grey 2006, 59k, 3.0si roadster that I am putting up for sale this weekend.

Red leather,
cup holders
heated electric memory seats
Wind deflector
Brand new Hamkook tyres all-round.

I'm looking fro around £9k if you are interested.

All,

Thanks for your offers but after weeks of tussling with the insurance company, they've agreed to repair my car and not classify it as a write off!

Best of luck with all of your sales.

Chris
