Came to start the Z up today and it laboured on turn over but did start.

Being sat since Oct and only started a handful of times is no good for it's battery so I'm in the market for the a trickle charger if anyone has one up for grabs at a price that won't break the bank.

I've seen this cheap one with decent reviews for £27.00 and it looks like it'll do the job but if anyone has one up for grabs then drop me a PM with details.

TIA.
Neil.

My car is going to be sitting for a month so I have bought this, whether it will work or not is another thing lol

I use a similar solar charger on my boat. It can go for up to 5 weeks, not used, and it seems to keep it in tip top condition and never fails to start. Previous batteries have had problems without the solar charger. The automatic bilge pump tends to use a fair bit of power, especially with heavy rain.

The boat is kept in Greece so it does benefit from plenty of sunshine, unlike here.

Got to be worth a try for £12 though before you invest heavily in a C-Tek or similar. You can always wait for Lidl or Aldi to do one of their motoring specials and then buy 1 of their maintainers at around £14.
