Wanted, Sport Button

IIRC the button is standard on:

2.5si
3.0
3.0si
M

on all other models it's an option, so the 2.0 may have it... doubt it though.
 
Thats your actual button part isn't it? doesnt show the retaining clip, which is the part I need. My car does not have a passenger airbag button so I am not sure if the button has a clip the same as the sport button

Here is a pic of my broken clip it is only 18mm on the inside diameter, so kinda guessing from that if you did have a clip it would not fit.

It seems to have a lip inside though, you may be able to cut it out somehow.

The inner diameter of the main bit is 18mm, and the inner "lip" 15mm
 
I am tempted to take it and give it a try, but fear that I start cutting and trying to obliterate the writing and it ends up not fitting or looks bad after me messing with it and subsequently ends up in landfill. and all we would have achieved is ruining a perfectly good Pass airbag button.

I will give it a miss MrGringo but as said I really appreciate you trying to help. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
My sport button is in place again with the superglue and I am probably going to buy a new one from bmminiparts.com eventually.
 
I've got a spare Sport Button but its back in the UK - would have to try and get Mrs J to find it.....

Nosa, just got Mrs J to find it and have a look. looks like it's all intact with the 'clip'. PM me your adress and I will get Mrs J to send it for a donation of £10 to the forum, but check it's OK first - sound OK? :thumbsup:

(Just so you're aware it came as a job lot with some other bits from a breakers so not sure if the switch itself works but it looks OK)
