Long shot I know....
The plastic retaining thingy on my sport button broke
Cant buy it as a seperate part And the stealers want £55 for a new entire button :o
So thought I would try my luck
If any one has a spare sport button please let me know if you want to sell it.

Nah thats no good, as it just fits over the existing one, where as the original actually holds the button in place. But thanks for the suggetion

OK - then I guess I'd be calling breakers or supergluing the old one together and then spraying it up or covering it.

There are a few Z4's being broken at the moment, so email them imo

Although some dismantlers (is that a word lol) want more than BMW do!

and if you find another, I'm in exactly the same boat as you Nosa... seems quite a flimsly clip for such a "manly" button!

Can only see a 4 pot and a z4mc on ebay, not sure if these have a sport button.

Your not wrong SK, when you actually see how thin the clip is its a wonder it has not broken before now.

Wife reckons it broke coz I use it to much, She did not respond well to my reply of "well you still work"

Yup....
JP Does a 4 pot have a sport button??

Thanks Guys,

Have emailed a couple of the ebay ones and the above link for info.

Have in the meantime taken CJ's advice and bought a £2.98 tube of super Glue, It has got the button back in place and usable but it now sits slightly loose in the console, Just slightly, but just enough to annoy me :x . So no longer in a big hurry to get another one but is now on the "to do list"

Add a small spot of clear silicone under the button and it will just hold it to the console, but easily removable when you get a new /replacement

I think silicone is one of me new favourite sticky things

Nosa, did a quick check on bmminiparts.com yesterday afternoon for you, they didn't have stock so I just fired off the request... although that didn't come back until past my bedtime...
