I'm doing very well at mullering my fogs, having broken a clip already trying to split them. Would anyone who has done it before do it for some beer money? Or have a split surplus set for exchange?

May ask, I know how, just am not having much success.
I remember the post where he split his as well. From what I recall one was found at the bottom of a pond? and years of water had helped loosen the adhesive? Not really an option for anyone to repeat, but perhaps some sort of submersion in a solution (not too aggressive) that might help ease the binding?
Might be worth a try, I'd like to refurb them but only to paint black then put DRLs in.

Yeah, i split mine.
I used a hot air gun to heat up the ally so it was HOT HOT. Then kept prying around the perimeter with a large flat bladed screwdriver. Secret is to keep it hot.
Once a bit is free and clear, i put a chisel under the lens to to stop it from going back down and then kept levering with the flat blade.
Keep it hot hot.
