Not quite what I was looking for but considering this coupe at the moment:

They have offered me a p/x for my BMW which isnt too bad..

Thoughts? I was thinking £12k minus the p/x on my BMW :D

Dealer is ringing me twice a day on this ..

What do the rest of you think? I'm still not sold on Montego Blue exterior, Red with Piano interior.. Maybe im just being fussy?

Not my favourite colour to be honest but it looks a nice tidy car.

Although for me I would want upgraded hi-fi and xenons aswell. Wouldnt be bothered about nav but heated seats would be a nice bonus too.. I'm loving my butt toasters at the minute :D

Hold out for the right car, that's my advice.

If you arent sure which it sounds like you are not then I think you will only regret it in a few months..

The best time to buy a car is coming up anyway. The lull between christmas and new year is the time I have always struck my best deals in the past. Dealers are desperate to sell then :D

I do like grey, but not light greys and I've had my Pearl Grey Scirocco for 4 years so fancy a change.. I've never had a black car.. My E24 is sky blue.

Also dont like the aluminium trim (although it does go better with the silver / grey cars).

Cost isnt a major issue as I was looking at one at £18k earlier this year but that was higher than I would have liked.

I think you're both right I'll stick it out for what I want..

Right I think I've seen the car for me!

2007 Sport Coupe
Carbon Black
Dream Red Leather
Piano Black
108s
33k

with:

Bluetooth
Multi-Function Steering Wheel
Hi-Fi loudspeaker system (business apparently)
Navigation system - Professional
Xenons
Automatic gearbox
Heated Seats
Sun Protection Glass
Electric Folding Mirrors

Only seems to be missing the storage pack and PDC which I think I can live without.

Priced at £16k which I think is £1500 too much and has 2 owners.

Waiting to hear back from them. I'm thinking £14.5k plus possible p/x on my BMW..

I emailed about the one at Sopers and it sold the day after. Don't think i'm meant to have Monaco Blue. :( Hope it works out for you.

Right coming back to this car, it has the exact spec I want, 32k (mileage discrepancy being cleared up by garage)

Will come with 2 x new tyres, new rear brake discs and pads.

They wouldnt p/x my BMW - hence the quick sale separately.

I offered £15k plus 12 months tax (£14740 all in) and they said they wont budge on £15,250

What does everyone think am I being too picky? Wisebuyers retail value is £14,734 not taking into consideration the options.

I'm thinking of saying £15k take it or leave it?

You have a very specific criteria, so if you've found the exact spec you're after just pay the man the money I think.

Thanks, it is I would say 97% there. Went to see the car again today. There were 4/5 car park dings to the rear arch, the drivers bolster still needs a little attention, the ash tray cover wouldnt close and it actually has 3 owners already. Also the last service was independent not BMW.

A few stone chips (I can live with), some swirly marks close in on the paint (again I can live with).

PS it has a stubby.

Im going to write up a pro's and con's list because I'm still not 100% certain.

If you are in doubt im not sure whether this car is really for you in my opinion im very fussy too when coming to buy cars but when i see the one i want i know because i am in no doubt when is see it and i buy it straight away i just know when the car is the one i want as i dont hesitate as i know its the right one but thats after looking at lots before .

Have you seen this one ?
no sat nav tho ....

I have, sent them a message about the spec they didnt get back to me. Its been reduced by £1000 already. I just dont like the aluminium dash. I will give them a call to confirm the rest of the spec if my E24 sells.

I'd say I do between 5 and 8k a year.

A high proportion of it will be in town and short distances.

The problem I have is cost and the fact the car will live on the drive.

Here are my running cost calculations (per year): (please feel free to correct any values)

Hell, it's scary when someone does the maths :D
