wanted Si Roadster (facelift 2.5 or 3.0)

very happy considering the price & mileage :)

Even if it was the 177bhp variant it's still a great price? I will get to the bottom of it :)

Might see if I can chip him some more tomorrow when I go round

I meant that as you would have to pay that before tomorrow, you would know for sure what the DVLA thinks it is.

Certainly looks like someone's gone to a lot of effort with the m sport seats, steering wheel, suspension, style 108s, and the engine code suggests a 217bhp model too so it's just a clerical issue I can assure you :)

I think you are getting your engines codes confused with spec. Sport model has nothing to do with Si.

You can get Sport 2.5i, Sport 2.5Si both come with all the sports bits. 108's were options on both.

Sorry to say but it is a 2.5i

ahh bloody ell lol. I've been had!

apologies for getting defensive over it, it's certainly powerful enough for me :)

Not a problem, as I said just wanted you to know what you have bought.

You'd be even more pissed when you came to sell or have a repair done only to find it was a 2.5i

TBF the advert is correct and states 177bhp. You like others have confused the Si as being related to trim level, where as its completely independent.

Ahh ok! Still feels pretty lively though considering the reletivley low output, that probably means why it's no sport button then?

Yes Sport button standard on Si

As long as you are happy and know what you are buying then all is good. We just didn't want you to be deceived so to speak. We may have been like a dog with a bone to a degree but it was all with good intentions.

So when do you pick it up?

No no I completely understand now, I think I just had it in my head I knew best but I'm still reletivley new to z4s I had a coupe about 4 years ago & had too many e46s now

Do you know if anything is available for me to map it up si Power srhutch?

Again my sincerest apologies to you & people who've been helpful so far

Pick it up tomorrow evening all being well

Hey, I'm just trying to help and make sure you know what you are buying.

It maybe a sport model, but that doesn't make it an SI. The badges on the side are only 'I' and vin coder comes back the same.

Up to you.

+1... I was also just trying to help :headbang:

From memory there are physical differences between the two. There are a couple of threads on here about it. The manifold being one difference from memory.

Was looking last night after the initial heart ache! There is places that remap them from the lowly 177 to 197 with no real upgrades, I will look into it if I find it's a bit underpowered :)

You could also whack on a Supercharger Jamie, somebody posted about one on a N52 only yesterday. But for that it would get you into a ///M anyway.

Hope to see you at a meet one day

no prob mate!

Thanks for your help

Having done a few miles in the new car now i cannot say even the lowly 177bhp disapoints! Its very sprightly! Obviously i'd have prefered a 217bhp version but it still puts a massive grin on my face :D :D :D
