Wanted - Passenger Side Brake Caliper - Z4M

Got a stuck caliper, my local indy can't get hold of one from his suppliers as they are all out of stock, and BMW have said end of April for one on back order. Which means I can't drive the car... Which is bad, as it's kind of my DD.

Does anyone have one they could sell me please ? Maybe someone who has upgraded their brakes and kept the original parts ?

Alternatively, does anyone know a good supplier ?

...oh, and if anyone has the part number handy please let me know - ta :D

Any good?

I don't know what else I'd need in addition to this - I need to check what parts are required to fix mine. Hence why I'd rather get a complete one from someone off here. I am very wary of eBay for things like this...

That one would need powder-coated black too...

Front or rear Bing?

Rear = 34 21 2 282 857 Left Caliper Housing
Front = 34 11 2 282 617 Left Caliper Housing

I would say ebay is definitely a good shout, look for an M3 remanufactured/refurbed caliper like this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E46-M3-3-2-Front-Brake-Caliper-Genuine-ATE-LEFT-Passenger-Side-/151818773473?hash=item23591aa3e1:g:t8kAAOSwQPlV-ZpL

If it's the rear then you will need to find a Z4M/CSL specific caliper as they are slightly different to Normal M3 ones. Fronts are identical between M3/Z4M/CSL
edit: you can see here the front caliper is the same part number on an M3 http://www.bmminiparts.com/DiagramView.aspx?DiagramId=46907&MOSP=47621

Thanks Tom. Front is what I need. Is that all I need, plus pads which I already have ?

Still a bit nervous of eBay... But I can't find any for less than £252 and 4-7 days delivery anywhere else

Give those guys a call on that link, but yes I'm almost certain that's all. They will have replaced all the rubber seals, bleed nipples etc should be as good as new.
Alternatively you can send your old one off to someone like bigred but sounds like you're in a hurry. http://www.biggred.co.uk/index.php
Best of luck with it.

Was going to give the same suggestion....the eBay one is a decent price too,as looks a decent part,and can often be dearer,even refurbed items....?hope u get it Allan :thumbsup:

Thanks Craig. Should be with me tomorrow or Saturday and I'll drop the car at the garage Sunday afternoon. Hopefully collect it on Wednesday all fixed, and freshly MOTd. Only catch is I need to return my old one to them, but that's a minor inconvenience TBH.

Tom - isn't it the fronts that are the same as csls ? I think I may have bought the wrong fecking one...

Bing,the callipers used on the m3,m3 CSL and z4m are all the same on the front,from what I know/can see....the list in that link also shows m3csl,so u should be okay.
The rears on the CSL and z4m's were different from standard m3 for the slightly bigger rear discs I think.

This. Except that our(&csl) rear calipers have a slightly bigger piston because of the bigger discs on the front used for csl/z4m. Calipers the same for all at the front, and rear discs the same for all.
You'll be fine bing!

Yeah,Tom I knew it was to do with either bigger discs or callipers/pistons on the z4m and csl's,compared to STD m3's,
I have upgraded mine to BMW performance items....tho my old front caliper were sticking also,lol.

Alrighty boys - I know the front disks on ours and the CSL are bigger, hence my confusion. But it's all good, thank you - I am now retracting the self-directed face-palm I gave myself earlier :D
