Wanted: Outdoor Z4 Cover

As above, a decent cover for suitable outdoor storage of the Z4 please.... or any suggestions of a good supplier?

You see BMW ones now & then on eBay. Or you could buy one direct from BMW for about £100.

I've got one for my coupe that I was planning to use when I left the car for more than a week at a time, but never actually went away long enough to need it.

I have a cover the previous owner used on mine outside as he had no garage, it has elasticated straps but I'm not sure if it is a BMW one, I'll check tomorrow after work and let you know if you're interested.

Sorry about the delay, I've checked it now and its a reflective silver cover, non-BMW with elasticated ties complete with hooks for strapping it to the car.

Previous owner used it all the time as he had no garage so it has a few bird deposits on it, but otherwise it's fine.

Would you make me an offer for it at all?

Does it have a manufacturer's label so I know what we're talking about?

Whatever you buy make sure it's a good snug fit and the 'inner' fabric is paint friendly. A loose fitting cover will flap in the wind and the constant chaffing against the paintwork will cause severe 'wear' marks if your not careful. The voice of bitter experience.

Sorry about the delay, been a busy week.

My cover although nice enough, is just a generic one and probably not even tailored for the Zed, just a general sports car type unbranded.

It's still yours if you want to make me an offer but its probably not the best although there is a BMW one for sale now for £70 so it's get what you pay for I guess.

Hope this helps you make a choice, I don't use the cover so cannot vouch for its effect, or not, on paintwork but the guy I bought the car from used it every day outside and the paintwork seems fine.
