Wanted: Orion Silver E89 with beige/white leather

Looking for an Orion silver E89. Preferably 30i with beige/white leather
Have found this little beauty on autotrader:
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202206136737555
but its a 35i and I'm worried about the twin turbo being temperamental going forward. Also
not sure I want the 35i level of performance (have just qualified for a bus pass lol!)

Dave....get it bought. Miles are low, any car can have issues, my 35i is on 115k miles with zero issues with the blowers or wastegates, and it's mapped to 365bhp. Unfortunately there are scaremongers out there warning you off a 35 with no more than 10 miles on it, life is far too short, and your right foot determines how quick you go. Right car, right colour, right pricefor you, what's not too like. :driving:

I’d suggest Orion silver is not a popular colour…at all.

Whenever I’ve seen one advertised it’s hung around for ages, so bare that in mind. If your heart really is set on one, I’d expect to pay less than for a similar spec car in another colour. Otherwise you may regret it when you come to sell

I know there are a couple of orion owners on the forum, but agree with the above. I went to view with an open mind, but the colour really doesn't do the car any favours in real life - like a nineties Ford Granada.

If I dabble with a 3rd E89 at some point, which is likely, I'd hold out for the M-sport kit too.

More like a late 70s/early 80s MK2 Granada in Oyster Gold which I liked - at the time!

Shame that example isn't a good one as I doubt there are too many around in the colour combination the OP is looking for.

I wish him well with his search anyway.

Appreciate the replies chaps. Might give Pontypool a miss lol!

I take your point regarding the colour but I seem to like 'unsellable' colours for some reason.

I had an E85 in Olivine Green which I sold last November in readiness for a retirement present splurge on an XK Convertible
but the £630 road tax is pushing me back to Z4. I now appreciate what great value the Z4 is. It does everything really well.
Wish I had kept the E85 now.

I'm a youngster (ish) so had this in mind 😂

Sadly I'm not so young any more! :(

Years ago I had a Strato Silver MK2 Ghia, my mate's brother had a 1979 metallic blue one and his dad had a 1979 Oyster Gold one. They looked great parked in their drive - I just wish I had a photo.

MK3 Granadas came out in 1984 I think - my Scorpio was a 1985 model.

Apologies to the OP for drifting into nostalgia.

But as he had an Olivine Green E85 it's probably fair to say he likes the more unusual colours!
