Like it says above really, if anyone has one for sale then please give me a shout. It's for a 2.2 Z4.

Thanks

I had mine swapped for a modified one yesterday, the chap at the garage (see my retro cruise post) said that a blanked wasn't actually needed as you can indeed just reconnect without the valve.

I used a modified valve as I'm still under warranty and didn't want to arouse any suspicions in case of driveline issues.

just take it out of the line i did mine last week half an hour job used a pressure bleed kit off my mate easy :P saves someone else pumping the clutch pedal while your opening and shutting the bleed nipple

Just as I have no idea, does it use the brake fluid reservoir?

Might do mine this Saturday when I do my new discs/pads... :)

why do people make modified CDV's if you can just remove them altogether?

Won't matter if the car isn't under warranty, but if it is you don't want to give BMW any excuse to not pay out.

During a cursory examination at an oil service/inspection, the deletion of the valve is obvious, whereas a modified one is not.

The tyre pressurizes a bottle that contains the brake fluid another pipe comes out of this bottle and conects to a screw on cap that fits the brake/clutch res it just prssurizes the whole system and pushes in the fluid so when you release the nipple it just free flows.
Great for brakes as there is usually a build up of rust at the end of the brake master cyl that is generally unused on normal breaking but when you bleed the brakes using the pedal it ruins the rubber seals though with abs the pump can be set to bleed the system.
