Wanted:- Luggage

my wife tends to come with me too... weve managed 2 weeks in scotland without problem, and also cornwall. It is surprising what you can fit in :thumbsup:

If nothing comes up I'm sure we'll manage!
A couple of suitcases an a few of the plastic "Tesco" fold flats if necessary.

We're not used to packing with such limited space as we normally go in my Disco an have a caravan in tow.
Now you see what a shock to the system its all going to be. :D
 
just incase you didnt know, you can get more storage by twisting the levers in the boot. they move the roof base up a few inches (providing you have a roadster).

i know you will have much less space than a caravan but i think you will be suprised at what you can fit in the boot. me and 'the passenger' have been camping and all sorts with no problems
 
The OEM luggage comes up on Ebay from time to time. Seems to go for about £100 the set.

Nearly purchased some then wondered why does MrsCJ need all that luggage for a weekend away :)

I just use soft bags!

You can fit loads in there, remember to use the coat hooks under the roll hoops for hanger items - and save more room.
 
You have to be firm with wives and partners. They expand to the available space. Mine can fill an X5 for a long weekend, so in the Zed it's one big case or several holdalls. There's room for one dress hanging behind the seat. For anything else we have a credit card :)
 
I bought a set s/h ages ago and only used it a couple of times. TBH its not that tight a fit, still plenty of room round it, so I reckon 3-4 soft bags would accommodate a lot more.....

Bet you can't put your sheet metal roof down with that in though! lol :poke:

When i went to le mans last year i got a tent, camping seat, jack, wrench, air bed and pump, full size spare wheel, flight case, car wash gear, cutlery and put the roof down. Also on the way back my passenger was two crates of wine and a couple of boxes of beer, so that's food for thought you could go abroad leave the wife there and bring back some cheap plonk instead :D
