Wanted: Lowering springs for 3.0i

Looking to lower the Zed and am trying to keep costs down due to some unforeseen expenditure over the last couple of weeks :headbang: .

I know some people on here remove these and sell them for whatever reason and I would be keen to buy a set from anyone looking to move on a set.

If you have anything that might suit, just drop me a PM. I'm not in a massive rush, so if you think you may be parting with some in a few weeks or so, please still give me a shout.

Cheers

You'll not get a helpful response from him. Plus, he will just recommend what he either has or used to have. Everything he does and gets is brilliant, everyone else's ideas, purchases and suggestions are s**t.

Eibach are the manufacturer of original equipment springs for Z4s. They get bad press due to well documented snapping issues

That said, the Eibach Pro spring kits are much better, and have a lower failure rate combine with a 5 yr guarantee (OEM springs are only g'teed for 2 yrs).

Honestly, the Eibach lowering springs for Z4s are ok....

I found the FK springs a bit poor felt like the shocks couldn't keep up with the spring rate. Body roll was eliminated and it looked great. But it rubbed the arches maybe due to my m fitment wheels. And they where bouncy and crashy. Although very cheap less than £50 delivered.

I'm not looking for a particularly big drop, just something to make the Zed look a little bit tidier. People seem to be saying roughly 20mm is the max to go for the standard shocks etc to be ok. All seems a bit trial and error with different people getting different outcomes. I'd rather leave the car standard height than put up with knocking, squeaking or rubbing! But hopefully I can drop it a bit without anything annoying like that

Doubt they'll stay at £25 for long

I just brought a set last week and paid only £36 :D wasn't expecting to get them that cheep, with delivery it was a bit more but still pleased. Just need to get them fitted now, is it worth replacing the upper and lower pads or do you just reuse the old ones cars currently on 75k
