WANTED leather dash.

Hi guys, bit of a long shot here but I recently got myself a m coupe (what a fricken good car!) i love her to bits but one small gripe im not keen on the piano black trim.
Since finding this forum Ive seen some pics of the oem extended leather which look the business. any chance one of you fine fellows have the dash trim and centre trim just laying about and are willing to sell?

bm have quoted me 700 just for the dash, tad more than i was hoping as this could just be my stupid idea for the month.
 
Hi, not really extended leather your after, just the dashboard and centre console trim, yes I know your after leather ones but extended refers more to the other areas of the interior that have extra leather.

Best bet is keep an eye on ebay, but offerings are few and far between. You may get lucky like I did and find some OEM Carbon Fibre Leather or similar for under £200.
 
yeah your right sorry i was meaning the dash and centre console trim. im considering covering my piano black but think it might look a bit tacky if i do. the carbon leather looks great.

I'd be more than happy spending £200-300. ill see whats in the local scrap yards, as you say i might get lucky!!
 
There is a compnay offering real CFL but you would need to cover yourself orf find somebody to do it.

Brushed Ali trim is fairly easy to come by and see you have offered for a part on another thread.

I have a complete set of Ali trim but until I sell my Z4 I wont part with as I may put it back on and sell the CFL as it's in demand as you know :wink:
 
well keep me in mind as ill gladly take it off your hands (as will half the forum population no doubt) and thanks for the tip.
im a newbie to all this forum craic but been following it for a few weeks or so, nice to have ppl who know what they are talking about to ask about this stuff.

where would i find this company, or is that like asking the colonel for his herbs and spices?
 
suprised you don't like the piano, many on here would buy it off you, try and pick up ally trim and recover that then sell your piano trim
 
I've been keeping my eye on ebay for about a year for the carbon leather trim for my Z4MC, but have not seen it on there once.

Is the non-M centre console trim the same as the M version? I just thought there was a different cut-out if you have an auto or if you have the extra buttons for airbag (depending on year of course).
 
Trims are the same whjatever the version. You may be able to order with one or two holes but not sure.

Mine came with just the sport button hole which is what I needed, but the marking is on the reverse so you can add the airbag hole.

The plastic inserts are what makes the difference between auto and manual.
 
I think I might just get mine retrimmed in black alcantara when/if I do the seats in champagne alcantara :P
