Nope, it started going up a few days ago, I knew it would end up fairly high.
They've gone for more but if you're patient you should find one cheaper. Black seems to fetch some of the higher prices, which isn't good for me

Seems everyone wants one for the winter. I thought the credit crunch may bring prices down but I suspect that poeple are hanging onto their cars instead and so want to buy the hardtop to protect it.
Maybe there will be better prices in the spring.

I purchased one ebay just over a year ago and reckon the going price is from £900+ these days. I paid about £800 but had to travel to get it.
Dealers sometimes sell them off at around £1600.

I have a Z4 hardtop in Sterling Grey. It is in mint condition, with all BMW supplied accessories. I have owned it from new and it comes with fitting kit, instruction manual and leather lined (BMW) bag.
Found these to be great during the winter and for added security during the summer when leaving the car unattended for a couple of days (eg airports etc)
Purchased for £1800, selling for £995.
Please let me know if this is of interest.

I will try and post photos below.
The hardtop is in excellent condition. On closer inspection whilst taking the photo's for you, i notice two stone chips on the surface of the lacquer. These are no bigger than 2mm across and have not penetrated the primer. These are no more servere than you would find on any low mileage car. I will provide a touch up stick in the sale should you wish to proceed. This touch up stick has never been used on the hardtop (it was purchased for my Z4, and used once on the car).
Those two marks aside, the condition of both the extorior and interior of the hardtop is as new. The hardtop was purchased in the winter of 07 direct from BMW for £1800. It has been stored in a dry garage in the BMW supplied bag when not in use.
The hardtop will be supplied with the bag, and all original trim panels to hide the fixing points when in use. The orignal instructions and all accompanying BMW materials that were supplied to me will also be included.
I am about 7 miles west of Cambridge. You are more than welcome to come and view it by prior arrangement.
