I'm on the look out for a pair of rear lights (facelift model 2006 onwards) Please give me a shout if anyone has a set for sale.

Just to confirm you know these arent just plug ang play if you are upgrading from old style lights.

Yea - this is a mod I'd love to do, but always seemed like too much effort..

If there is an easy way of changing, I'd definitely do it..

Yes I am upgrading, I've got the Z4M bumper and now waiting delivery of the new style lights. To be honest my reason for doing this is simply because I want to fit quad exhausts. This dictates the need for the new style lights as you will be aware. I will let you know how I got on when it's complete.

Remember to PM FemmeT if you need some assistance, she changed her Alpina ones.

Def don't need to change the lights to fit quad exhausts.I did it with a bit of careful surgery on a standard rear end and added a modified cf diffuser.

Indeed I actually had a ///M bumper at the start of the project and changed my mind as I didn't want it to look like an ///M, but with an Alpina you may want to.

What are you doing for the exhaust system? Simple 'T' type into a back box or a true dual system?

Good luck with it

I appreciate what you are saying Phil but I quite like the look of the Z4M bumper. I will be teeing off the back box although I appreciate the method you adopted is better but don't really fancy altering my battery compartment. I'm trying to draw a balance between modifying my car without destroying the marque as it were. Whilst I feel the rear bumper conversion will enhance the rear end appearance without taking away the character of the car I will resist the temptation of changing to an M front bumper.

Hi Wayne,
You must let me know how you get on with your conversion, I like the thought of an Alpina with a Z4M rear end with a quad exhaust. Good luck and don't forget to post some pictures. Ondie

Should be a good project  I too like the ///M bumper but as you know chose a different route.
Can I suggest oyu get an ///M bumper early int he project if you don't already have one as you might want to check the mounting underneath. Since the battery box is replaced with a sort of part diffuser you may need to incorporate some changes at the same time as routing the T pipe.

Hi Wayne,
I think the mods you're carrying out sound excellent, keeping the marque as it should be but with a couple of subtle differences. I've carried out a few mods to my 3.0 SE and am very happy with the results (Z4M front & rear bumpers, face-lift rear lights, quad exhaust, Aero sills, Alpina rear spoiler, clear front indicators etc. etc.) so appreciate what you're planning to do. Can't wait to see the results. If I can help with anything please feel free to ask. Ondie

I have already got the Z4M bumper ready to fit and would you believe I haven't really looked underneath the car yet. Thanks for the offer of advice Ondie it would appear that you have already carried out most of the mods on my wish list. I would be interested in seeing a couple of photos if you have any.

Wayne

Would be glad to offer some advice Wayne, unfortunately I don't have any pictures but will get some on here soon, Ondie
