Wanted: E89 35i or 35is 2013-2016 Orange

I’m on the hunt for an E89 35i or 35is in Orange, post facelift so 2013-2016.

Budget range is up to £20k, so something high spec and clean condition please!

good luck with your search, thats a rare bird so you may need to hang tight for a while Argyll Andy has recently picked up a fine looking motor and may have come across another on his search

Good luck with the search. I have been looking for a 2016 version of mine for a while and gave up, so sticking with the 2014 one I have. There are quite a few Greys and a couple of Blue but no Valencia Orange. Will keep you in mind though if the premium bonds come and I get my desired i8 roadster

Welcome to the forum.

here is one on A/T - https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202011256476628?onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=Used&postcode=np45xf&include-delivery-option=on&model=Z4&sort=relevance&colour=Orange&advertising-location=at_cars&price-from=7000&make=BMW&radius=1500&page=1

Thanks all, yes had seen that one on autotrader, but the advert is a bit sparse.

And thanks Nanu, if your numbers come up I’d be keen to talk 👍

Agree about that but why wouldn't you pick up phone and find out details.
From info I can find looks as if bought from a bmw dealer about Nov 2019, put up for sale Nov 2020. No I drive, orange door cards, black seats with orange stripes down middle of them(was that part specific pack?) Good MOT history HTH
Added (edit) orange stitching on seats etc and comfort on switch to right of gearlever does that mean its got adaptive msport suspension? ( a newbie so not upto date with all option permutations)
Looks overpriced but if just out of BMW auc warranty I would be giving seller a call and if right car at least attempting to do a deal.

A few observations about this and all IMHO

First up, very sparse advert accompanied by poor pictures/description/details l to lack of. No personal information about the car just a copy and paste of some spec details. No details about SH and no interior shots, but you have some information about the car that’s not in the advert.

The Alacantara and half leather is part of the Traction Pure Design package, which includes the extended leather, colour coded stitching and door cards. A big plus for me as it lifts the interior particularly with the anthracite headliner.

No iDrive would be a big no no for me in a car at that price point, I’d also be looking for an upgraded stereo system and Bluetooth/streaming capabilities.

The wheels are doing it no favours, front drivers at least needs a refurb and not being cleaned for the photos. Don’t know if they’re 18’s or 19’s

The comfort button doesn’t denote adaptive suspension, that would be an option stated on the spec sheet.

I’ve looked at these limited photos a few times and I don’t know what it is but there’s something that doesn’t look quite right each time I look at them. I can’t put my finger on it but it’s there. I’ve attached a few pictures of mine from a similar angle for comparison

This is 100% not a p!ssing contest or a :poke: at the 35i but it is very strong money for a medium spec private sale 35i.

Lastly, and possibly most importantly for me, the decision to shift the car immediately after the AUC warranty runs out would concern me. This might be completely coincidental but I’d have concerns that a warranty maybe wasn’t extended because of concerns that excesses may need to be paid so limit use and shift it on.

It says it has satnav in the advert (option cost around £2100), it also has PDC (about £600) and contrasting roof colour (£500). The Pure Traction design package would of been free on that model and on the 35is.

The only answer is to call and get the spec off the seller.

For me, I would take a this 2.0 car for similar money, if the OP wants a straight 6 then it is pointless but then the mileage and spec plus remapping may be of interest.

Fair shout. I just find it odd that someone selling that car would put no detail on.

Agree but its that bad that it has to be someone who really hasn't got any idea at all about selling a car. Lots of possibilities, owner could have gone abroad for emergency reasons( covid)? owner could have passed away and family got no idea about selling cars. Why make gausses about it. Find out details and once got FACTS make an informed decision. With such a specific requirement (car colour) why rule it our without checking it out.
PS the info I've posted isn't that difficult to find if you take car buying seriously - just picked up lots of info from posters more experienced and kept in tool box until needed

Her's another 2015 DCT very low miles and lots of detaol but outside op budget at £23k , maybe the autotrader one not overpriced.

or if could consider a 28 i 2014 and more reasonable money

Is there a problem with parking sensors on these orange cars? None of them seem to have them fitted?

If you are paying £20k for a 20 then £23k for a 35 seems about right?

I took it from a previous post that it had no iDrive

Checked and it doesn’t show on the spec sheet as having it, mine shows as option 609. Also got base stereo, 633

Didn’t realise the PTD pack was a cost free option

Mine does but I understand that they were a cost option.

At £23k mine might be going up for sale
