Wanted: Chrome tips for 2003 3.0i

have you tried autosol to clean up your current ones? about a fiver from halford. mine look brand new now (look how black it was in my sig).

I have yet to even pick the car up from the stealers! Just bought it on Sunday...

I've got a set I will be selling if I can get hold of a facelift style of tip for a reasonable price. Just waiting for some answers in Z4 discussion forum.

what's the difference between pre and post?
 
When you look at them straight on (down the pipes) the rim is thicker making them stand out abit more. Dannyboy has them on his Z4.

just dump the exhaust and fit a remus system comes with a fantastic sound and you get the chrome tips thrown in!

One question, i noticed in that thread that the old ones were lying next to your new ones. Do they come straight off? I notice they had screws...

Did you slide the new ones over the old ones and then attach to exhaust?

Sorry mate they aren't mine. I was showing peddy the difference between the facelift and pre-facelift tips.

I will post a pic of what mine look like tomorrow. Just PM'd a few members to see where they got the ones that Im after from so I can ring around tomorrow.

The ones I have on mine at the moment (really shiny chrome) Just slide over the standard tips, but May require lube and a hammer as its always a tight fit. Then they screw up up into the bottom of the standard exhaust.

Keep yours eyes open though incase I can't find the ones I want or incase BMW quote me stupid money for a couple of exhaust tips (likely :x )
