After some deliberation i'm on the hunt for a Z4 having got too nervous about repair bill and running costs of a boxster s
Currently drive a 2l diesel 3 series coupe and looking for something more spirited and fun in the summer as she that knows best has picked up a 6 month old 2l diesel focus for all the boring driving
I've got up to an 11k budget (cash waiting) and have centred in on the following spec. Looking for both thoughts from the community (what do i need to look out for, views on the spec etc) and also very keen to hear from anyone who may be looking to part with their cars.

To be honest i'd rather get the car from a forum member who has cheroshed their car like a loved one
- c. 2006 (facelift onwards)
- ideally under 70k miles
- preferably 3l but would consider m (are running costs that much more?) or 2.5
- rag top a must have
- black or dark blue preferred colours but realise may have to widen the net
- in a dream world caramel leather, but yet to see one, anything but grey (haven't seen many) or red (bit ott for me personally). Leather of some description a must (can't believe some are fabric!).
- ideally flappy paddle (would consider manual)
- heated seats a real nice to have
- elec memory seats real nice to have
- uprated stereo nice to have (whilst i buy into the hear the engine over the stereo argument, i do like my tunes and have been a bit spoilt with a good pro stereo in the current drive)
- full bmw service history a nice to have, but recognised indi would be fine
- bluetooth nice to have
I'm based in cheltenham. Happy to travel for the right car. I think that covers everything, let ke know if any more info would help
