I think the rails would work well - very retro, and would make your stand out from all the other Sterlings![]()

Not much of a tale to tell I'm afraid guys - I'd like to put boot rails on the boot so I have more storage space for a road trip later this summer, but I'm not convinced I want a railed boot lid for the rest of the year - Ideally I'd like two boot lids, one without and one with and then I can swap the boot lid when I want the rails on
The only problem would be the boot lock wouldn't fit but as it's remote locking that should only be a problem if the battery went flat - in which case, it could be a nightmare. I could probably negate that by adding a wire direct to the battery contacts with a suitable weatherproof plug pushed through the battery box, then I could charge the battery remotely from outside the car even if the locks wouldn't work. It's a very slim possibility though, so I think it's do-able![]()
