3000 max budget not a lot but that's it
willing to travel
fed up of driving hundreds of miles to look at a """excellent bodywork"" to arrive to a bag of shite !!

For 3k you will be waiting for a while if your hoping to get a mint low milage Z4. :rofl: For that sort of money you are looking a one that needs work doing on it.

As has been said you may struggle to find a minter in your budget, but I know exactly what you mean about travelling miles to view a "first to view will buy" type car only to find a shagged-out old nail! :evil:

For £3k, depending on your definitions, I think you're going to be disappointed.

Mileage isn't an issue, IMHO you're better off with a high miler that has been used and well looked after, especially if it's been done by an owner who knows their stuff.
Expect it to need work, especially if perishables have not been done. 10-15 year old cars will have tired interiors and most will have body work issues.

If you're handy and prepared to DIY then budget for another £1k of work to have a very tight car. If you're going to be paying someone to do every job then you need to save up some more.
 
You might be in a queueueueueueue for one of them at 3K,,,,if it exists. Most Z4 owners would actually like SOME of the money spent when re-selling
 
To be fair to the OP he used the word decent in respect of mileage and condition. All the other terms came from subsequent posters.
