Give Jamie in parts dept a ring at BMW Sopers in Lincoln. If you mention this forum you should get a forum discount of around 10% off the normal price of the motor and this includes postage. If you require the plastic enclosure and sound proofing I believe you get 20% discount. Replacement motors fit all variants and age of the E85 model.

The RRP is around £340 for the motor and £70 for the plastic enclosure and soundproofing from a BMW dealer. Some forum members have successfully cleaned the existing rusted motor and got it working again but if you are paying a garage to remove the hood and refix the motor it will take around 4.5 hours so a bit of a pain if a refurbished motor packs up a short time after. I personally wouldn't risk it.

They may have increased in price but I paid £305 last July from BMW Sopers which included forum discount and postage.
