+++++ WANTED, BMW Z4 COUPE+++++

Hi, after 6 months traveling I will be arriving back in the UK on the 10th August and after lots of research and comparisons I've finally decided on a BMW Z4 coupe.

My budget is £10,500 but may be able to stretch to 11 for the right car.

The essentials are: under 60k on the clock, FSH, not silver or red, very well maintained inside and out, parking sensors and the M package.

Obviously I would like sat nav, xenons and 57 plate+ but these aren't essential.

As I said before I am currently out of the country till the 10th August but my dad has been to look at a few for me and he is happy to go and view and hopefully purchase a car on my behalf so anyone who knows of any good examples I would be very greatful if you could point me in the right direction. I live in redditch Worcestershire but can travel.

Many thanks
Mikey

Thanks DPG, anything I need to look out for besides the obvious? I know about the rear shocks are there any more known faults?

I have found what looks to be a very nice example on auto trader, it has pretty much all the optional extras, very well looked after, full service history, warranty and it's only £8,500.
Only bad point is it has 80k on the clock. I was wondering if this Will badly effect resale when it comes to that time? I've seen some z4c's that have been up for sale for some time that have high mileage.
Any advice on this would be very appreciated.

Thanks guys

This is one of those things, Mikey, that is entirely in the eye of the beholder - no-one can say precisely what affect high mileage will have - although obviously it will be a factor to consider when it comes to sale. It might net you a lower price or take longer to sell if you hold out for the "right" price. In my opinion, which will not be shared by all, if you've found something you like then negotiate and get it bought. I've used that ethos for many things in life (i.e. if you have to have it, then have it). You can worry about the sale price later - the fact is, coupes are reasonably rare - in fact Z4s are fairly rare overall. If you don't buy it, you won't have it. There comes a time when you just have to get your wallet out...

Thanks for the wise words stevo. I definitely have to have a z4c in my life and I've seen some very good examples. I think low mileage is the way to go for me tho so I will hold out a little longer and see what comes up.

Hi Mikey,

I am currently offshore for around 3 more weeks, but as soon as I get home I am putting my Z4C 3.0si in Titanium Silver up for sale. (I have the Autotrader ad ready to make live).

It still has the BMW used approved warranty until November as I purchased it last November from Cooper BMW in Norwich.

77,000 on the clock and obviously the full BMW service history. Blue and black leather interior which I personally haven't seen on any other Z4's.

I will be looking at listing it for around £10,000 due to the condition and warranty etc. however I am open to negotiations.

Let me know if you are interested, and I can send you through photos etc. and any further information. I would rather sell it in this manner as opposed to the joys of Autotrader.

Likewise if any other users browsing this thread are interested before I put it up for sale officially, feel free to send me a message or reply here. I would post the photos on this thread however I am unsure of an easy way to do so?

Regards,

Sean

(Edit: I have just looked at the rules and I shall make a dedicated thread also).
