Wanted: Black door cards with Red Leather inserts

Hi all,

On the look out for black door cards with red leather inserts having recently changed my seats to red. I have both the black with black leather inserts and grey with red leather inserts door card sets so if needs be I can swap the inserts if needs be, but as they are plastic welded in I'd rather see if there are any complete ones I can swap with/buy.

It's not a nightmare job to strip and swap the inserts over - would do it for you if you were more local.

Melt the fixings with a soldering iron and if you are careful you will be able to re-use them. You can always trim some parts of the plastic from the grey door card fixings and add this to your black ones as you re-melt the fixings to put things back together.

Use a polyurethane adhesive over the top of the fixings to really make sure it all stays put.

I will have a spare drivers door insert at the weekend if you would like it to try and trim in red leather before you damage a good door card?

I have a damaged arm rest on the drivers door card so will be taking my red leather trim off this weekend and swapping it over

What a pain in the ASS!! the leather trim is plastic welded to the door card. I removed the black leather trim from the second door card I bought but knackered the black leather trim.

I dreant try and take my red inset off my current door card now in case I knacker it up, got it booked in for a upholsters on the 28th

Thanks for the feedback! Which is why I havent progressed....... I'll jsut be patient and try and swap my whole door cards/buy some other ones and sell mine I think.

Thanks for the heads up, gave them a call, they said as it would mean "splitting" the interior set they would want £395 plus carridge.............. ouch! I'll jsut continue to be patient.

Thanks for that spot............ that has been on a long time, kept my eye on it... but thinking one is no use without the other (currently sticking with my pair of black on black).... If I were to source the other side I would snap it up... but until then I may as well hold out.

i'd try again and haggle with them, they have already got the seats up for sale separately so its not as though the red interior is complete and they have dashboards for sale from other cars without door cards.

Just looked at their ad again on eBay and they are doing it as a full interior- but for £745 for door cards and ///M seats it's a great deal if you don't have ///M seats.
