Wanted - alloys for winter tyres

I am on the lookout for a set of 17" alloys for use as a set for winter wheels.
So if anyone is having a garage clear out for the spring and wants to shift a set of rims with (or without used tyres) then i'm interested.
My new car has staggered 19" 296 wheels for the summer, but it is a 23 sDrive,, so i believe 17s (and possibly 16") wheels will fit over the calipers. I'd pronably qant to keep within manufacturers spec wrt syre sizes, so I'm guessing 225/45/R17 is the best.

I'm based in Glasgow, so anywhere north of Carlisle would be easier to collect

Still on the lookout... the rims I was considering were from an e84 and i think the offsets would cause problems.
so Im still looking for 17" rims to fit an E89 (which have an ET29 offset as std)

are the 104s off an e85 3.0? if so i don't think they will fit a 23i e89 :( they show as 7x16, taking 225/50R16 with an offset of ET47, so I'll need to pass & continue looking

I had a 2003 2.5i with 16" rims. Still got the rims, want to get rid of them, if you want them, let me know. I think they are 101's, but I don't really know the numbers. They are the basic star type rim.

They might be 102's http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/
If so, then the offset is ET47 and it looks like i need ET29+-6 for the E89... and i think they really need to be 17's for insurance purposes as the smallest OEM wheels on the e89 are 17"

Check for wrongly advertised ebay ones. I just bought a brand new set of X5 (E70) wheels with brand new tyres for £395. Just sold the tyres so will end up with a cheap winter set with new wheels / tyres.
 
set of e90 17" 5 spokes with a ET34 offset bought off eBay for £275 with runflats on them @ the moment which will get changed at some point to winter tyres.
 
Get the tyres now - I just ordered my winter tyres and it was a pig to get hold of them. They don't expect stock until the winter now, which means a rush then and no stock and higher prices.
