WANTED All sorts of little stuff.

Does anyone have a pile of 'bits and pieces' from a car that they've stripped (or know a car that been broken? - yes I know that's a terrible thing to suggest)?
I'm at the 'every-time-I-look-at-it-something-else-is-missing' stage and its driving me crazy - I've been to my local dealer every day som far, and it all for little stuff mostly. Fixings, seems to have been a major sticking pint to the PO, for some reason they thought they didn't need to put *any* of them back. Which resulted in the rear bumper cowl/cover arrangement falling off at 70mph (honest officer) on my way home they other day. Saved by the Parking sensor wires, I must have towed it down the road for at least a mile or so before ai could pull over and start swearing properly. Note: it makes properly terrible racket when that happens.
I wont bore you with previous discoveries but today's problems alone are a missing main battery fuse case and mounting bracket (its been wrapped in insulating tape and dumped back down behind the battery) and missing Positive battery terminal cover. And they are just the latest ones. I could really do with set of boot carpets that don't have oil soaked into them, some rear wheel arch sound insulation and an external battery box shield. All of which are below par or missing completely. Dont get me wrong, I *will* save this one, but I'm beginning to suspect that I badly need to find a doner car. If anyone knows of one that in half decent nick, I'd be grateful for the owners contact details.

How far are you willing to travel? I know a couple were being broken in the Tonbridge, Kent area (but that's a distance from me, and I'm the 'correct side' of the M25)!! The others are all up north (judging by ebay). There is one is Slough, Berkshire but the guy who's breaking it doesn't really seem interested in selling anything unless he can make a hefty mark up on it (from my experience anyway - and I went there in person).

So to summarise you need:
-main battery fuse case and mounting bracket (where is this? Under the bonnet?)
-boot carpets
-positive battery terminal cover
-rear wheel arch sound insulation
-external battery box shield (is this just the battery box in the boot?)

IMO shouldn't be a problem picking these things up... it's not like they're super highly sought after.

You're Scotland right? Shame you're not closer!
Assuming you're breaking your car? Couldn't be fixed? Sorry to hear

Apologies for hijacking OP's post - but I'm after this piece in plain black if you have it?

Also sorry for hijack but I need a screw cap cover for the centre console. One of those disc things that's Down near front of seat?

I got a 3d printed one off ebay but it's s**t.

Hi bud,

I have a battery terminal with main fuse.

Also have the boot floor carpet that mounted in a board.

Also have two rear wheel arch liners in excellent condition.

Let me know if that’s if interest

Thanks CB,
Right at the moment, I'm after:
A clean (or clean-up-able) bulkhead/ boot carpet (mine is old, tired and floppier than a 50yo you-know-what -DAMHIK) pn: 51473435207
A pair of rear interior wheel arch sound insulators (a sort of moulded sponge foam arrangement thats directly underneath the boot carpet trims on either side. pn: 51483446001, and 51483446002 I *think* . The diagram isnt totally clear.
A rear bumper main crossmember (the main cross bar directly behind the plastic bumper when you take it off - mine is very rusty and is badly on the wonk making the bumper cover look wonky when its on) pn: 51127016072,
The external shield that bolts on the outside leading edge of the battery box at the bottom to protect it - sort of a moulded plastic L section with three screw holes along one edge. pn: 51717047807
and an Engine bay under tray. Mine is missing completely. pn: 51717012723

I'll nip off and grab some part numbers here now, hopefully that will help..

Oh and the silly clip on screw cover that Bearded _Ed is after but if he's taken the only one then thats ok.

Its a bloody good job that I didn't pay very much for this car - because I only seem to have got half of it! :D

Hi Sytho!,
Thats a bugger, I came over all impatient and grabbed a battery cable/fuse arrangement off eBay last night (probably paid too much for it but I want to get the car off the axle stands and back on the road this week). I'm very interested in the boot trim though. The whole boot trim in mine looks old and tired. It really lets the car down. The only problem is that I'm not due up your side of the country anytime soon. Do you think we could factor in a bit of postage to our negotiations? I'm mindful that CrazyBaptie might have the whole list of what I'm after though so I don't want to upset anyone...

You deffo over paid as you can have it for nothing. lol

You’re welcome to the carpet that I have for nothing too. I’m Happy to wrap it up and post it but I’m actually on my way to Mexico for two weeks tomorrow.

If you don’t get anything sorted in the meantime I’ll send them up to you.

Permission to say "Ah Crap!" Skipper?

I guess my lesson here is to trust the forums to provide and answer and not just charge off...

Thanks very much chap, I'll take them if thats ok (and happy to pay postage obviously). Let me know when you are back from Meh-Heek-Oh and we'll get it bottomed out.

Thanks again!
